It’s an underwhelming story. When I first started out, I struggled to find a good name. I knew I wanted it to end in “Marketing Group” despite it being just me, and I wanted the 3 letter abbreviation to flow nice, like “WME” or “IBM”. I landed on “EMG” as it kind of rhymes, and then saw a boat in Ohio named “Edgewater” while visiting my now fiancé, and boom, I had Edgewater Marketing Group. I get back from the trip, plug it into Sunbiz to register in the state of Florida, and it was taken. But, in a stroke of luck, one of the recommended substitutions was “Edgly Marketing Group” and boom, the company was born.

No crazy backstory, however, I do believe that everything happens for a reason, because here we are 5 years later, most known for producing edgy content “Edgly style”. Only thing I hate about the name is that everyone’s phone autocorrects it to “Edgley”. Seeing it is nails on a chalkboard to me, and if you are trying to get a job here and drop and spell it “Edgley”, doesn’t matter if you’re Christopher Nolan, the answer is no.
